The Saturdays just don't work

I really like the Saturdays new album On Your Radar but there is something that has always bothered me about them. They just don't really fit together as a group, it's nothing really to do with look, but more stage presence. They always appear to be a bit of a mess. I have been looking at some of their music videos and all their lines are out, lazy arms, heads rolls not in sync, it's just really off putting. The should work a lot harder on polishing their performance to match their really very good songs.

That's right, I'm doing it again. Abusing myself with food. This time instead of starvation its overrating. What wrong with me. I hate being this weight and yet still I stuff my face knowing dull well what I'm doing. Everything is in reverse. When I was hungry and thin I was happy, now when I'm full and fat I'm unhappy. Both ways are hurting me both mentally and physically.

Now I know there will be no happy ground when it comes to my weight, but come on, I'd rather be thin, ill and happy rather than fat, uncomfortable and unhappy.

Multiple Sclerosis is something that has affected my life as my Mother was diagnosed with it some years ago now. She is very lucky in the fact that she doesn't have an agressive form and so the horrible affects of MS have been slow to develop. I think my mother is amazing. She never complains about her condition even when she is exhausted, or down. It is often forgotten and overlooked by loved ones around her. I for one am not one of these people.

There is just something missing

I don't know why but it feels like there is something missing in my life. It feels like there is a hole to be filled. I think it's the artistic side to me that I have let slowly die over the years. As age continues on my dreams stay where they used to be. Again this is a matter of choice and an inner reluctance to do anything about it. What you have to remember is I was always taught to be responsible and spoon fed not to live in hopes and dreams, it isn't practical for the real world. What a load of bollocks. Follow your dreams, follow them all the way until you make it. When you're young it's the best time to do it.

Lady Gaga's new music video "Marry the Night", makes me burst into tears. It has really touched me and carries such a massive message. You can really feel Gaga's message coming across. It shows how much she went through just to be where she is today. She is a true artist for whom I have a lot of respect and love.

So here's to dreaming and having the courage to follow them.

I was supposed to be a star

I don't care what anyone has to say, I was meant to be a star. Every where I went people knew who I was, they used to think that my dancing was amazing and my singing voice was something else. I had such creativity when I was younger but something was missing, the real drive an confidence to go through with it. I blame my father a lot for this, he was someone who never too chances and made sure we didn't. I was young, I had all the time in the world to be a grown up and worry about life. I should have been following my dream, but instead I was following my father command.

With every day that passes I take a step back and look where my life is and think about where it should have been. People say that you still have all the time in the world, but when you are young and full of energy is the real time you should do it. When you have no real solid responsibility.

I'm sitting here drinking yet another bottle of Rosé listening to Lady Gaga. When I say this I know that people are not going to believe it but I had her creativity when I was younger. I had crazy ideas about massive show stopping concerts with nothing but live singing. I could have been a Lady Gaga of the day, but there is one major difference. I didn't have the courage or drive to go through with pushing my dream. She did, and now look where she is. All I had was the voice of my father telling me to be careful and not to take any risks in life.

You can be sure as hell that I will do my best to make sure that when speaking to the youth of today I do nothing by encourage them to follow their dreams, don't leave them behind.

Will I do anything to change this?

X Factor what are you doing?

I love the new line up on The X Factor, though I'm not keen on Tulisa, but what is going on with the contestant side this year? It feels like there is something missing, it's a little flat.

Also what is it with this weeks choice to bring back a contestant from the past final stages after ~~hot mess~~ Frankie Cocozza "left" the show.

I think it should have been a choice between Johnny Robinson and The Risk (who I'm not bothered about anyway). They are the ones who managed to get as far as they did in the competition, they are the ones who put the hard and grueling working in. I say bring them back.

Looks like the entire show is pulling stunts for publicity, where as if they worked on their acts and the show its self, they could really do something amazing.

STEPS at G-A-Y Astoria oh the memories

I was just having a surf through YouTube when I came across this video of STEPS showing performances of when they were at G-A-Y Astoria in 1999. I was there for this fantastic set they put on and just remember how amazing it was.

I'm really looking forward to seeing them next year, it's going to be so much fun and bring back a lot of very special memories for me. I am a proud STEPS fan and always will be!

Ouch, there goes my neck

Ironically before I even stepped foot in my dance class, while taking the mick out of my friend Sarah I decided to do a strange action along with the impression and managed to pull something in my upper back all the way up to my neck. The meant that I ended up in class injured and fighting to get through it. I managed to survive, but as I had an early start at work for a client meeting the next day, 7am, I was in feared that I would fall into a deep sleep, struggle to wake up and then find that I could not move. This would have been a disaster, but it proved not to be the case, in fact I don't think that I slept very well at all last night.

As the day goes on I am sure I will become more and more tired, with lack of sleep and constant pain in my upper right shoulder area, what a joy.

So last night the Young Apprentice, formally known as the Junior Apprentice started. It's funny as they really do mimic every day behavior of the grown ups, but may be they are at times just that little bit more honest.

We have spoken about the attitude of some of these teens before in a previous post, in a not to nicely titled Junior Apprentice Bitches, and the new young apprentices don't fail to amuse. There is a mass air of camp in the boys team, and total bitchiness with the girls. I have a feeling this is going to be a very good year.

Why offer help?

Again I have offered help to my loved one in a moment of stress and need yet have received nothing but hostility. When this happens it really does once again make you question why you bother, but if you keep a calm head and remind yourself the situation that they are in is stressing them our to the point of being unreasonable, you can stand back and let it go. This does not not always help with the pain that can be caused by this type of behaviour though.

Well I've just installed Blogger for Android so lets see how I get on with this. Also swapped over my Galaxy Tab 10.1 keyboard to Android rather than using the Samsung keypad. I dud like using Swype though so will be switching between the two. The Android keyboard just feels a lot better to use right now I must say.

Parking like a c*nt

So here is another thing that always puts my back up. People parking like an absolute c*nt. I don't understand why and how people have the cheek to so it. Parking over two spaces, parking at an angel and even parking somewhere you shouldn't. You are stupid rude ignorant people and don't be surprised if you get your tires let down or your car scratched.

If there is one thing that is sure to get me angry it's people who put there feet on the seat on the train.

I think it has a huge reflection on people's childhood and how they have just not had basic manners and respect taught to them. Now I am not just chatting about children and teenagers. There are a huge amount of people in their 30's, 40's and even older making their self quiet at home on the train, although I'm sure a lot of them would dream of doing the same at home.

There is nothing I would like more than to turn up to that persons home with dirty shoes and put my feet all over their furniture.

So (with the want of a more classy phrase) Fuck you scum!

He has wrongly accused Mark from Take That of being a "pedo", for apparently sleeping with a girl of 16 at the age of 23. Well as far as I am aware it is legal for girl of 16 to have sex with consent. He needs to take a little more responsibility with what he posts. Accusations like this can ruin peoples life's. My flight was being served by an obviously gay flight attendant, who seemed to put everyone in a good mood as he served us food and drinks.

As the plane prepared to descend, he came swishing down the aisle and told us that "Captain Marvey has asked me to announce that he'll be landing the big scary plane shortly, so lovely people, if you could just put your trays up, that would be super."

An English Man In New York - A story about Quentin Crisp

Today I watched the movie An English Man In New York and it was fantastic.

It follows the path of an amazing man named Quentin Crisp, born Denis Charles Pratt, who was an English writer and raconteur. He became a gay icon in the 1970s after publication of his memoir, The Naked Civil Servant, brought to the attention of the general public his defiant exhibitionism and longstanding refusal to remain in the closet.

He moved to America in 1981 and this is what the film is based on. Check out the trailer below to get a feel of what it's about:

John Hurt played Crisp once again beautifully and I think really does him justice. Hurt had played Crisp for the film The Naked Civil Servant. It was 90 minutes long showing the life of Crisp from youth to middle age. Check out this great clip:

Hello 2010 - Happy New Year

Well it is here, 2010, Ooooo I like the way 2010 looks.

It would seem that 2009 has not been good for a lot of people. I keep seeing out there in Twitter Land people saying things like "Thank god that crap year is over", and "Lets hope that 2010 is a better year".

I have a lot of hope for the new year, but am not going to invest too much emotion into it. I feel that good things are going to be on the way for me, my partner, my family and my friends.

I wish them all the greatest happiness and success for the new year. I love them all dearly!
